9:56 pm - the pain of the office job
|
|
We have trial this week and in addition to supporting my own team I'm one of the leads coordinating all the paras/courtroom happenings on our side (7 law firms). This means I have to be at the court from 7:30 AM until 6:00 PM and I am in heels and on my feet the majority of the time. After three days my feet are are really starting to feel it. I guess it's better than set up, when I had to help bring 100+ boxes from my office to the court, and did so with only 2 other people.

7:43 pm - Freezer cake

Due to travel plans next weekend and the fact that we were in Cleveland for a wedding this weekend we had the top tier of our wedding cake today. It wasn't wonderful, but it also wasn't horrible. It's hard to believe that a week from tomorrow it will be a year.

Just gotta say that we both loved it. The only whispering going back and forth between the two of us was a discussion on who had to be told to see the movie and how we were going to go about buying the soundtrack NOW - iTunes- great cast of unknowns and cameos by pretty big names.
Loved it.

So the wonderful husband stood in line yesterday morning to get us bracelets (which meant we wouldn't have to show up until 10:30-11:00 ish), meaning we got books 16 & 17 at our particular store (Clarendon B&N). I'm glad he did, because I saw one person wearing number a yellow 719 (pre-registered) and one person wearing a blue 169 (just showed up) which means that probably well over 900 copies went out last night. After they lined up the first 200 people in the store, they started them outside. When we left the line was all the way past the apple store.
I finished about 4, I'm not putting up and spoilers even under cuts, but I did enjoy it.

3:34 pm - I can't believe it
|
There are 10 days left and now, after been relatively healthy all spring, I think I'm coming down with something. And it's not nerves, I just have that kind of sore throat, a little achy, draggy and flushed feeling I get when I start to get a cold.
I have 8 days until things get really crazy, hopefully by then I will be on the up swing. I'm also don't want to be sick on a 6 hour flight.

Premise: We booked our honeymoon tickets in February and then Delta re-did their schedule. The new tickets weren't really what we wanted, but I wanted to wait until closer to the date to prevent another re-scheduling. As we got closer I was becoming more acceptable of the ticketing times until I noticed WE WEREN'T SITTING TOGETHER. Well that doesn't work!!
I wanted 45 minutes on hold during lunch, but the end result was that the woman I spoke with got us on flights that worked as far as timing went, and she made sure that we were sitting together where we wanted to. This without me feeling like it was a chore and without them charging money for the experience. There are so many airlines that have bad service, but this is the second time I have had a great experience with Delta recently. They are slowly moving up there with Southwest.

While the Boston officials might have over reacted, considering the placement of the ads, it is understandable. Moreover, it is the preferred situation when compared to the fact that it takes the metro bomb squad TWO HOURS to show up after abandoned luggage was found at a metro station.
